Perfect Rice on Electric Stove:
1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water
boil the water
stir rice a couple times so they don’t stick on the bottom
when the steam is coming through the lid very fast, turn the burner off
wait 10-15 minutes before eating
If you want less starch, wash rice first.
Perfect Rice on Gas Stove:
1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water
boil the water, stirring rice a couple times
when steam is coming out of the lid very fast, turn the gas on lowest setting
make sure lid is slightly tilted, so it doesn’t over-heat
If this doesn’t work, pray. Who knows?
Turmeric Rice
2 Tablespoons of olive oil in pan
cook 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds until browned
Add rice (without adding water), stir until all mixed up
Add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric and stir until all the rice is yellow
add water, 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice
Add salt to taste
Follow steps to above recipes, after the string part
